What is TuxNES?
TuxNES is an emulator for the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System. Currently, the emulator has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, and NetBSD, all running on i386 processors. For a full list of capabilities, please visit the features page.

TuxNES is based on Nestra, a great public-domain NES emulator by Quor.

NES ROM files:
I hope I don't need to explain at this point that requests for commercial ROMs are futile and would only waste valuable seconds of your life. However, there are many excellent and free NES demos and games available on Chris Covell's homepage.
